Our team regularly invests in the latest orthodontic equipment, and that includes our state-of-the-art 3Shape TRIOS 3D scanner. This intraoral scanner makes diagnosis and treatment planning more accurate and efficient than ever.

How does the 3Shape intraoral scanner work?

The 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner uses a small, hand-held wand to take thousands of pictures of your smile within seconds. These photos will be used to make an accurate digital model of your smile in real time.

Your Specialist Orthodontist will utilise the digital model to create your treatment plan from start to finish, and to design your custom brackets or aligners as needed. Thanks to this scanner, there is no need for messy bite moulds at our practice!

Once we’ve created the digital model of your teeth and jaws, we can use it to show you what your smile will look like through each step of treatment. We can even show you what your smile will look like once your treatment is complete – so you know exactly what to look forward to.
